I found Wondrous Wisdom to be both a valuable and fascinating book that succeeds in accurately defining spirituality from the secular, scientific and philosophical aspects. This beginning serves as the platform for the following chapters that explain what it really is that drives us, the true definition of the soul and how we are to study Kabbalah. There are eight lessons tying everything together with an important section on the language of Kabbalah. The author concludes with the surprising fact that perception of spirituality is a change in our senses, which opens us to the true universe in addition to the one we have always known, which leads to the intention, our work, as it is called. This book answers all the essential questions we ask about life, death and the soul. Wondrous Wisdom is very clearly written turning a subject that could be difficult into one that is easily grasped. I would recommend this book to anyone as an excellent start to their study of Kabbalah.

With the publication of, Wondrous Wisdom, Mike Kellogg has accomplished a formidable task. In an introductory level book he has managed to communicate to the more difficult, technical, aspects of the study of Kabbalah. After a reader friendly 194 pages, someone unfamiliar with Kabbalah can feel that they have a solid foundation on which to start a lifelong study.

Wondrous Wisdom takes you inside the world of "Spirituality" and defines what is a soul and where does it resign. This book is a guide to "Authentic Kabbalah" giving you insights to the study method and eight beginning lessons. The author states that if you have ever asked the question: "what is the meaning of my life"; "why am I here" or any version of the above then this book will steer you in the right direction to help you connect to a Wisdom that will answer all of those questions and more! This is a must read.

'The point in the heart is not really considered the soul, but the 'soul in potential.' At this stage, it resembles a lack that simply can not be filled. We know we want something. We know we are missing something, but for the life of us we can not figure out what we need.' (Ch. 4, pg. 40)
This is why you've come to this book. If you're looking for a direction to spring board into further study, this would be a good starting place. Kellogg breaks the basics down and offers the beginners technical lessons in several concise chapters. The lessons provide the fundamental principles of creation, which is the foundation for the study of Kabbalah. It's not always easy study, but the basic lessons in this book organize the technical concepts with much needed diagrams and charts making it a great reference tool. The chapter on the "Language of Kabbalah" provides clear definitions on concepts that often get confused in the study. This was one of the first books I picked up about a year ago and I still find it useful today despite my year of technical lessons with Michael Kellogg via on-line courses. Based upon the teachings of Rav Michael Laitman I would highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to supplement what they already know or think they know about Kabbalah.

Wondrous Wisdom is a beautifully written practical introduction to the teachings of authentic Kabbalah, as taught by today's foremost expert, Dr. Michael Laitman. Michael Kellogg is one of Dr. Laitman's first North American students and now teacher and he has formatted this book much like a beginner's course on the subject, taking you step by step from the history through basic subject matter. Kabbalah is a scientific study of the spiritual worlds. Wondrous Wisdom is a great way to begin developing the tools you will need on this journey.
