The universe has been evolving for 14 billion years. From the perspective of man the purpose and crowning glory of this evolution is the existence of man himself. So is it not ironic that man is the only part of evolution that very well may consciously destroy itself. Kabbalah says this paradox can be explained. That there is a reason behind the madness. In his book A Guide to the Hidden Wisdom of Kabbalah Michael Laitman reveals the wisdom of Kabbalah in an easy an practical manner. This is an excellent book for beginning and veteran students of Kabbalah.

This is a great beginner's book for someone studying the science of Kabbalah. The first part of the book is a strong introduction to authentic Kabbalah and the basic concepts therein. The last chapters are broken down into ten complete Kabbalah lessons. These lessons delve into the basic scientific/technical aspects of Kabbalah and the drawings and discourses are essential for beginning students. However, due to the technical aspects, I would not recommend this book as someone's initial introduction to Kabbalah. Read a couple of Dr. Laitman's other beginner's books first such as Kabbalah Revealed or Attaining the Worlds Beyond. It would also suffice if you are a current Internet student. You will find this to be a great reference book that you will return to time and time again.

With wisdom and an indispensable vision, Rabbi Laitman guides us through the perplexity of one of the biggest questions that often baffles the mind. 'What is the meaning of my life?'
