When purchasing a new home appliance it is inevitably accompanied by an instruction manual. However, when the new addition comes in the form of a baby, parents are left to their own devices to determine how to properly nurture this new life. The most important role a parent has is to serve as an example of how the child should approach life. In order to provide the proper example, the parents must first feel whole themselves. This book provides informative, inspirational quotes to aid in the advancement of the parents as well as the children. I found the educational ideas presented in this book to be sound based on my past research into educational practices. The only thing I felt this book was lacking is a more straight-forward, how-to approach to a few of the ideas suggested. However, the text more than makes up for the lack of procedural application with its ability to inspire and motivate the reader to be a more positive example for all the children of the world.
